Rant of the Moment or Die Smokers Die
Cough cough. Hack hack. Choke.
What is that? I hear you ask. It's the sound of me eating my lunch today. I hate it when smokers think nothing of the people around them (and I have to say, from what I have seen, that would have to be pretty much all the time.). For those of you who live in Perth, or have spent a length of time here, you would probably know of the paved area with the dozen or so benches, the area near Cinema City near the big church. Anyway, i decide to sit and have my lunch on one of the benches today and read. Not more than five minutes go by before some thoughtless female comes and sits on the bench to the back of mine and she lights up. Of course the wind is blowing perfectly for the smoke to waft straight over me eating. Next to 4WD drivers, I find smokers to be the most selfish people on the planet. Always, and this is almost without exception, whenever I exit a building, be it an office building or restaurant or shopping centre, there is at least one person standing barely a foot away from the door puffing away, and naturaly the smoke they exhale is carried in on the wind. I am getting sick and tired of having to hold my breath whenever I enter a shopping centre, as there is always staff and customers crowding the entrance, grabbing a quick smoke. I hate smokers. I am of the opinion that there should not be smoking at all allowed in public places, be it inside or outside. I would one day, when walking through the city, like to be able to take in a breath and not have my lungs half filled with cigarette smoke.
